My name is Kara Machiela (pronounced Ma-gill-ee), and I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten Teacher! This will be my fifteenth year teaching in Hudsonville. I have taught Kindergarten (5 years), Fourth Grade (3 years), and Pre-K (6 years). I have taught at South and Alward, but most of my years in teaching have been at Bauer. I earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from GVSU in 2012. I love teaching at the early childhood level! It is the BEST!! :)
My husband, Mark, and I live in Hudsonville. We have three boys….Tate (12), Trent (9), and Ty (7). Tate is a sixth grader, Trent is a third grader, and Ty is a first grader. Tate will be at Baldwin Middle School this year and Trent and Ty go to Bauer. I love having them at Bauer with me!
